      Kami is a Manheim native with a BS in Art Education from Millersville University. She has been teaching private art lessons on and off for almost 20 years (!!) and has worked as the art and drama teacher at Manheim Christian Day School for the past 6 years. Kami & her husband reside in Manheim with their five children.

      Michelle has been teaching privately for over fifteen years, and is a certified k-12 music teacher. Her love of studying music began in second grade with piano lessons and soon many other instruments, especially clarinet and guitar, were added to her repertoire. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in music education from Millersville University. She taught KDG-3rd grade general music in the Gettysburg Area School District for several years before transitioning to motherhood and formally opening a private music studio. Michelle also leads worship on guitar, piano, and vocals for several women’s retreats each year and occasionally at church.

      Michelle has experience teaching students of many ages, from 4 years old to 50 years old. She recognizes the individuality of each student and their unique styles of learning, as well as different goals. Her students are given a well-rounded approach to learning music – from basics in theory and skills on the instrument to choosing repertoire which students find motivating and exciting.

      Alicia Brackbill is a certified K-12 music educator and certified Musikgarten Family Music teacher. Her love of music began as a young child learning to sing with her mother and strengthened through piano lessons in 2nd grade and trumpet lessons in 4th grade. She turned her passion into a career by earning a bachelor’s degree in music education from Millersville University, and she is currently pursuing a master’s of music education degree from Lebanon Valley College.

      Alicia taught elementary music in the School District of Lancaster for 8 years before her son, Iain, was born in 2014. She also has 15 years of experience teaching private lessons on both piano and brass instruments. Her students have ranged from 5-45 years old, and several have made county and district bands. She presently coaches the brass section of the Manheim Central Marching Barons.

      Alicia has also performed locally with several community bands as well as the Jazz Ministers Big Band, the Air National Guard Band of the Northeast, Bravura Brass, Ephrata Performing Arts Center, and Hershey Entertainment and Resorts. She also has experience as a children’s musical director and piano accompanist.

      Christa Schimitsch, a native of Lackawaxen, Pennsylvania, is currently the Director of Choirs at Manheim Central High School. Additionally, she instructs courses in musical theater, music theory, music appreciation, and music technology. Beyond the school day, Christa is the Woodwind Technician for the Manheim Central Marching Barons and both the Vocal Instructor and Make-Up Artist for Manheim Central Baron Stage.

      On the weekends, Christa runs youth and children’s music at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Joy. At Trinity, she instructs Pre-School Music, Children’s Choir, and Youth Choir. Christa sings in Praise Band on a weekly basis and performs regularly in the church’s cantata events.

      Presently, Christa is working as a performer with OperaLancaster in Suor Angelica and the company’s Lemonade Concert Series. She has music directed and performed at the Ephrata Performing Arts Center with their youth and mainstage productions.

      Christa graduated from the Pennsylvania State University in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Music Education. At Penn State, she studied voice and performed with numerous ensembles, including Concert Choir, Essence of Joy, Oriana Singers, and Penn State Opera Theater. Beyond singing in choirs, Christa was selected for the 2014 Choral Internship, where she conducted an auditioned collegiate ensemble. She was chosen for Voice Jury Honors on numerous occasions and participated in several collaborative and solo recitals. Christa competed in the National Association of Teachers of Singing vocal competitions throughout her collegiate career and was selected as a Finalist and Semi-Finalist at every adjudication.

      Marcus is a senior at Manheim Central High School. At Manheim Central, Marcus has performed with Concert Choir, Chansodié, and numerous instrumental ensembles on Alto Saxophone. Marcus has performed in theatrical productions at Manheim Central High School and Popovsky Performing Arts Studio. Most recently, he was seen as Jean Valjean in Baron Stage’s production of Les Misérables. He has been selected to sing with LLMEA County Chorus and PMEA District, Regional, and All-State choral festivals.

      Marcus has performed as a soloist with OperaLancaster, and he has been recognized as a Semi-Finalist and Finalist at the National Association of Teachers of Singing competitions at the District and Regional levels. Additionally, he has performed at a number of local churches and events.
